Enjoyed the video below very much, thank you. Here in Kenya back in 1984, the opening ceremony of the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games was not televised (at least I don’t remember it being televised), though we did get to see several events, via what used to be known as Voice of Kenya (VOK) Television, the only radio and television station in Kenya back in those days.

What’s the name of the guy running things, the guy in spectacles and wearing the blue coat, what was his full time day job back then, and what became of him?
